BAE, XLVI, 79. Valchrétien apparently objects to tableaux and pantomime such as those in V.i and V.v. It would be interesting to know how he changed the play to make it conform to «notre extrême délicatesse». A MS of his translation exists in the Instituto Jovellanos in Gijón; it was published in Marseille in 1777 in an edition of which I have found no trace except the source of the information, Somoza, who himself had not seen it (see Somoza, pp. 60-61, 77-78, 192). I am not aware of any other edition and have not seen the MS.
